The Foundation Story

From a Life of Service to an Institution of Impact

The BAG Foundation was not born in a boardroom. It was born in classrooms across six Chinese cities, in prayer rooms of the Cherubim and Seraphim tradition, in late-night writing sessions, and in the quiet conviction that one person — faithfully committed — can seed something that outlasts them.

Dr Ayobami Gideon Babalola has spent more than 15 years teaching English as a second language across China — from Ningxia to Tianjin, managing teams, developing curricula, and mentoring hundreds of students. Through it all, one question persisted: What happens to the children back home who never get access to this kind of education?

The BAG Foundation is the answer — structured, registered, and now active in Nigeria. It carries the weight of a lifetime of service and the vision of a future where every Nigerian child has access to education, every community has support, and every leader has development.

Established in 2025 and named for its founder — Dr Babalola Ayobami Gideon — it was never built for him. It was built for the students who deserve better, the communities that need more, and the leaders waiting to be equipped.

Faith & Foundation

Why Faith Is Not an Add-On — It Is the Foundation

The BAG Foundation is explicitly and unapologetically faith-rooted. Grounded in the Cherubim and Seraphim tradition and shaped by Dr Babalola’s lifelong practice of prayer, the Foundation operates from the conviction that genuine transformation is ultimately spiritual before it is social. Every person we serve is served without condition — but the values of sacrifice, service, compassion, and hope that animate everything we do are drawn from a deep well of living faith.
